一、奖学金介绍
为鼓励外国留学生到湖北省属高等学校学习和进修，扩大湖北省教育的对外影响，湖北省人民政府特设立湖北省外国留学生奖学金并制定了《湖北省外国留学生奖学金管理办法》。
I. Scholarship Introduction
In order to encourage more international students to study in Hubei Province, Hubei Provincial Government has established the Hubei Provincial Scholarship for International Students and relevant regulations of management.
二、奖学金资助标准
奖学金原则上只资助学费。奖学金标准如下：
（一）本科生奖学金1万元/年
（二）硕士研究生奖学金1.5万元/年
（三）博士研究生奖学金2万元/年
（四）普通进修生奖学金5000元/学期或10000元/学年
除湖北省奖学金之外，相关学院另外提供其他相关资助，具体请参照附件
II. Scholarship Coverage & Standard
Generally the Hubei Provincial Scholarships are provided for supporting tuition fee ONLY. Scholarships standards are as below.
(1) Bachelor’s Undergraduate Scholarship is 10,000RMB/Year;
(2) Master’s Graduate Scholarship is 15,000 RMB /Year;
(3) Doctorate Student Scholarship is 20,000 RMB /Year;
(4) General Visiting Student Scholarship is 5000 RMB/One Semester and 10000 RMB /One Academic Year
Besides the Hubei Provincial Scholarship, the relevant colleges will offer scholarship to cover other fees. Please refer to the Attachment 1 for details.

四、申请条件
1. 非中国籍公民，对华友好，身心健康；
注：对移民外国后作为外国留学生来华学习者，申请人应持有效的外国护照或国籍证明文件4年（含）以上，且最近4年（截至入学年度的4月30日前）之内有在外国实际居住2年以上的记录（一年中实际在国外居住满9个月可按一年计算，以入境和出境签章为准）；
2. 申请攻读学士学位者，应当具有高中或同等学历，学习成绩优秀，年龄一般为18-25周岁；
3. 申请攻读硕士学位者，应当具有相关专业学士学位或同等学历，学习成绩优秀，年龄一般为18-30周岁；
4. 申请攻读博士学位者，应当具有相关专业硕士学位或同等学历，学习成绩优秀，年龄一般为18-35周岁；
5. 申请普通进修生项目，应当具有相当于高中及以上学历，学习成绩优秀，年龄一般为18-40周岁；
6. 申请中文授课项目要求达到《汉语水平考试》四级（HSK4）（普通进修生项目除外），毕业时中文能力应达到《国际汉语能力标准》五级水平（曾使用中文为教学语言获得中国高校学位的，无须提供《汉语水平考试》（HSK）证明）；
7. 申请英文授课项目的非英语国家申请者要求提供雅思成绩5.0分及以上或等同于此水平的相关证明，申请人来自英语国家或接受过3年及以上英文教学课程可免提供英语水平证明。毕业时中文能力应当至少达到《国际汉语能力标准》三级水平。

IV. Eligibility
To be eligible, an applicant must:
1. be a citizen of a country other than the PRC, friendly to China and in good health both mentally and physically; Note: For those Chinese people who immigrated to other countries as foreign students to apply for studying in China, the applicants should hold the valid foreign passport or nationality certificate more than 4 years. In the latest 4 years (up to April 30 of the enrollment year), the applicants lived in a foreign country more than 2 years (the actual living abroad for more than 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, subject to the entry and exit stamps).
2. be an academically excellent holder of a Higher Secondary Certificate or its equivalent between the age of 18 and 25 when applying for a Bachelor’s program;
3. be an academically excellent holder of a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline or its equivalent between the age of 18 and 30 when applying for a Master’s program;
4. be an academically excellent holder of a Master’s degree in relevant discipline or its equivalent between the age of 18 and 35 when applying for a doctoral program;
5. be an academically excellent holder of a Higher Secondary Certificate or above between the age of 18 and 40 when applying for general visiting program;
6. have passed HSK (Level 4) when applying for a Chinese-taught program（General Visiting Program is excluded） and their Chinese proficiency should be at the level of the International Chinese Language Proficiency Standard (Level 5) upon graduation (those who have obtained a degree from a Chinese university using Chinese as the teaching language are not required to provide HSK certificates;
7. provide an IELTS certificate with 5.0 or above or other equivalent language proficiency certificate when applying for an English-taught program. Applicants who are from English speaking countries or received education more than 3 years in English can exempt from providing the relevant English language proficiency certificates. Their Chinese proficiency should be at the level of the International Chinese Language Proficiency Standard (Level 3) upon graduation
8. provide the Certificate for the Experience of Studying in China from previous school or university if he/she who has studied in China. Sample of the Certificate can be downloaded from http://eng.ctgu.edu.cn/DOWNLOADS.htm
五、申请与录取流程
1. 申请人首先在三峡大学国际学生管理服务平台http://lsx.ctgu.edu.cn提交申请；.
2. 招生办公室对申请者材料予以初审。初审合格的学生材料发送至相关学院进行学术审核。
3. 招生办公室将通过学术审核的申请人材料电子版发送至湖北省教育厅进行复审；
4. 招生办公室将复审合格的申请人材料纸质版寄至湖北省教育厅和湖北省外事办公室签章；
5. 招生办公室通知申请人并发放《录取通知书》、《外国留学人员来华签证申请表》（JW202表）。
V. Application & Admission Process
1. The applicants shall fill in and submit application at CTGU Online Application System for International Students at this link http://lsx.ctgu.edu.cn ；
2. The admissions office shall make a preliminary examination of the applicant's materials. Those documents of the applicants who have passed the preliminary examination shall be sent to relevant colleges for academic review.
3. Admission office will send the electronic materials of the applicants who have passed the college academic review to the Department of Education of Hubei Province for a comprehensive review;
4. Admission office will send the hard copies of the materials of the applicants who have passed the comprehensive review to the Department of Education of Hubei Province and Hubei Foreign Affairs Office for the seals;
5. Admission Office will inform and send the Admission Notice and Visa Application for Study in China (JW202) to the applicants.
六、申请材料
1. 《三峡大学外国留学生入学申请表》（在线填写）
2. 有效的护照信息页
3. 经公证的最高学历证明。如申请人为在校学生，须提交本人就读学校出具的预计毕业证明或在学证明。
4. 最高学历学习成绩单。中英文以外文本须附经公证的中文或英文的译文
5. 语言能力证明。申请以中文为专业教学语言的申请人须提供有效期内且与相应中文水平要求相符的HSK成绩报告。申请以外语为专业教学语言的申请人应根据学校要求提供相应的语言能力证明，如雅思或托福成绩单
6. 来华学习或研究计划（申请研究生专业提供）。不少于1000字，用中文或英文书写
7. 推荐信（申请研究生专业提供）。须提交两名教授或副教授的推荐信，用中文或英文书写
8. 个人学术成果（毕业论文、公开发表的论文、参与的重大科研项目等列表）
9. 个人获奖证明（如有）
10. 《外国人体格检查表》复印件（原件自行保存，此表格由中国卫生检疫部门统一印制，须英文填写）。申请人应严格按照《外国人体格检查表》中要求的项目进行检查。缺项、未贴有本人照片或照片上未盖骑缝章、无医师和医院签字盖章的《外国人体格检查表》无效。检查结果有效期为6个月
11. 无犯罪记录证明。申请人须提交由所在地公安机关出具的有效期内的无犯罪记录证明，通常应为提交申请之日前6个月以内的证明文件。
VI. Application Documents
1. CTGU Application Form for International Students (filled in online).
2. A scanned copy of the Passport Information Page.
3. Diploma and certificate of highest education (both original ¬arized photocopy). An applicant who is a current university student shall submit the certificate of expected graduation or student status issued by his/her university.
4. Academic transcripts the final degree. Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English shall be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
5. Certificate of language proficiency. When applying for a Chinese-taught program, an applicant shall provide a valid HSK score report that meets the program’s language ability requirements. When applying for a program taught in a language other than Chinese, an applicant shall provide a certificate of proficiency in the language as required by the designated university, such as the IELTS or TOEFL test report.
6. A study or research plan written in Chinese or in English (no less than 1000 words/characters for postgraduates) when applying for the postgraduate programs.
7. Recommendation letters. Two recommendation letters in Chinese or in English from professors or associate professors when applying for the postgraduate programs.
8. Personal academic achievements if there is/are (list of graduation thesis, published papers, major research projects participated, etc.).
9. Awarded certificates if there is/are.
10. A photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form (the original document, printed by Chinese quarantine authorities, shall be filled in in English and kept by the applicant). The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are invalid. Medical examination results are valid for only six months.
11. An applicant shall submit a valid Certificate of Non-Criminal Record (or Police Clearance Certificate) issued by the local public security (such as the police station), usually issued within six months prior to the submission date of the application.
七、相关费用及申请截止日期
来三峡大学学习，你需要承担以下的费用：
1.1 学费：请参见不同专业的学费标准
1.2 住宿费：双人间，4800元/学年/床位
1.3 保险费：800元/年/人
1.4 注册费： 400元/人
1.5 生活费：约1500元/月/人
1.6 其他费用：大约1500元，如体检费/认证费、居留证申请费等，这些费用将由相关机构按照其收费标准收取。
申请截止日期：2023年7月31日
VII. Fees and Application Deadline
Study at CTGU, you are expected to bear the Expenses as below:
1.1 Tuition fee: please refer to the different programs.
1.2 Accommodation fee: 4800 RMB /year/bed for a room with two beds.
1.3 Insurance fee: 800 RMB /year/person.
1.4 Registration fee: 400 RMB /person.
1.5 Living expenses average around 1500 RMB /month/ person.
1.6 Other prospective expenses around 1500 RMB such as Health Check/Authentication fee or Residence Permit Application Fee will be charged by the relevant institutions in accordance with their fee specification.

VIII. Others
1. This application guide is made in both Chinese and English. If there is any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions, the Chinese version shall prevail.
