Professor Yue Zhongqi from University of Hong Kong came to CTGU for academic exchanges. He was appointed as a part-time professor. Party Secretary of CTGU, Li Jianlin attended the appointment ceremony, the President He Junwei issued the letter of appointment, the vice president Huang Yingping presided over the ceremony.
Yue Zhongqi is the professor and mentor of doctor-postgraduates in the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Hong Kong. As the statutory geotechnical engineer in Hong Kong and Canada, he was engaged in geotechnical engineering practice in China, Canada and Hong Kong. Over the past thirty years, he has done a lot of engineering and scientific research works, and made a series of original discoveries, methods, laws and theories, published more than 100 papers in Science Citation Indexsci (SCI). He was awarded two US patents for invention. His papers has been quoted over 2000 times. After the ceremony, Professor Yue Zhongqi visited the related laboratories and had an informal discussion with some teachers with geotechnical engineering specialty.
