Let's Give Warmth to Trees

The activity ofAs the Winter Comes, Let’s Give Warmth to Treesofficially began at 2:30 p.m. on December 3rd. The international students also actively participated in the activity which was co-organized by College of International Communications and College of Law and Public Administration.

Although it was drizzling on the day of the activity, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the volunteers.

1 The preparation

Workers from the logistics department took great pains to mix lime slurry for us and introduced us the basic knowledge of applying lime slurry to trees. Although the students couldn’t wait to brush lime slurry on the tree, they still patiently listened to the explanation of the workers, so as to lay a foundation for their subsequent work.

2 The process

Everyone grouped actively and freely, then began to work around trees. International students also carefully brushed the trees. Though we're from different countries and have different nationalities, we worked together to make this cold winter warmer.

We worked from Qinyuan to Nanyuan, along Yunshen Road to Daxue Road. Brushing trees was a hard job, but we were full of laughter and passion. We worked happily, no longer worried about dirty lime and afraid of tough task.

After the activity, the students straightened up everything and had an enjoyable communication with each other. Not only did they learn the knowledge of how to protect the trees, but also they enjoyed every minute of practicing. Hopefully in the subsequent activity, more and more people can be encouraged to join us and make progress together.
