CHEE has 107 staff and faculty, including 76 full-time teachers and 12 doctoral supervisors, 67 master's supervisors among in-service teachers. It has made brilliant achievements in talent cultivation. At present, it has over 1700 undergraduate students, and over 550 graduate students (including master of engineering). The students' employment rate of major programs tops one in CTGU.
CHEE features outstanding scientific research and obvious disciplinary advantages. In recent years, it assumed National Scientific Key Project, National 863 Plan and the National Natural Science Fund, 60 key research projects of provincial and ministerial level etc. Also, it was involved in large and medium-sized hydropower stations in Three Gorges, Shuibuya , Longtan, Xiluodu, Xiangjiaba, Nuozhadu, Jinping and Guandi as well as other scientific research and technology consulting services in large size hydraulic works such as South- North Water Diversion Scheme. It witnessed a host of leading domestic, international advanced scientific and technological achievements.
CHEE serves local economic and social developments due to hydraulic and hydroelectric trades. It has a testing center for hydropower project quality (qualified by CM), a design and research sub-institute for hydraulic and hydropower engineering ( design qualification B ).
Exchange and Cooperation
