Spring Festival, as a traditional Chinese festival, has a very long history, which is also the most important one    for Chinese people.

春节作为中华民族传统的节日，有着非常悠久的历史。也是中国人心中最重要的节日。

Before Chinese New Year's Eve, people's main jobs are  cleanning the houses and buying things for the festival. On the day, people will hold  solemn ceremony and  prepare delicious dishes, good wine, which are in reward for the grace of our ancestors. After having the New  Year's Eve dinner, the elder generation will give lucky  money  to the younger generation. At the beginning of  the first day of the first month in the lunar year, people will organize many activities, such as Lion  Dancing,  setting.off.firecrackers, paying a new year call and so  on.Moreover,on the 15th of the first lunar month of  each year, there are folk celebrations such as enjoying  beautiful flower lanterns, guessing lantern riddles, and  celebrating lantern festivals. New Year’s Eve is the  essence of the Chinese New Year. On this day, no  matter how far apart and how busy they are at work,  people always hope to return to their homes and have a reunion dinner. Sitting around with my family, watching the Spring Festival Gala while eating a steaming NewYear’s Eve dinner, this is the most anticipated time of  the year for the Chinese.
在除夕之前，人们主要以打扫房屋，置办年货为主。在除夕的这一天，人们会摆上菜肴、倒上美酒，举行隆重的祭祀仪式，以此报祭祖先的恩德。吃完年夜饭后，长辈要给晚辈发压岁钱。从正月初一开始，人们会举行舞狮、放爆竹、拜年等活动。而每年的正月十五日，民间还有赏花灯、猜灯谜、闹元宵等庆祝活动。年尾除夕是中国春节的精髓所在，在这一天，无论相隔多远，工作有多忙，人们总希望回到自己家中，吃一顿团团圆圆的年夜饭。和家人围坐在一起，一边看着春晚，一边吃着热气腾腾的年夜饭，这是中国人一年中最期盼的时刻了。

Now with the prosperity and strength of China,Chinese  Spring Festival culture is also gradually affecting people of the world.Americans decorate their homes with Chinese characteristics,Such as hanging Chinese knots and red  lanterns, sticking Spring Festival couplets, etc.Many  parents also provide themselves and their children with  Chinese style clothes worn during the New Year.The  streets of France are decorated with colorful flags,Not  only the Chinese community,Even the Paris Municipal  Square is hung with red lanterns.Eyes are full of beaming red.

如今随着中国的繁荣富强，中国的春节文化也逐渐影响着世界各国人民。美国人都在家里布置中国特色的装饰，如挂中国结、红灯笼，贴春联等，许多家长还给自己和孩子置备了专门在新年期间穿的中式服装。法国的大街小巷都装饰一新，彩旗飞扬，不仅华人聚居区，就连巴黎市政广场也会挂上大红灯笼，满眼都是喜气洋洋的红。
