Recently, supported by the "Project of 2015 World Famous Scientists Lecturing in Hubei", the Professor Arindam Ghosh of Computer Engineering Department of Curtin University of Technology was invited to China Three Gorges University (CTGU for short) for academic visit. He did the academic report titled "Addressing Power Quality in Power Distribution Systems Including Micro Grid" in our university on October 9th. In the report, he introduced the sources and types of power quality problems in the power distribution system and stated solutions by taking voltage as an example as well as introduced some new concepts such as intelligent micro grid and hybrid micro grid cluster.

Professor Arindam Ghosh is an IEEE Fellow, an IEEE PES Distinguished Lecturer and an academician of Indian Academy of Engineering, the major research field of whom is new energy micro grid. During his visit, Professor Ghosh carried out communications about scientific research cooperation and personnel training with teachers and students in the Department of International Relations and the College of Electrical Engineering and New Energy.
