The opening ceremony of 2015 “Charming Three Gorges Summer Camp” for university students from Hong Kong and Taiwan was held in the morning of July 13, 2015. Vice president, Huang Yingping and related official from Office for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs attended the ceremony.

On the opening ceremony, on behalf ofChinaThreeGorgesUniversity, Huang Yingping extended warm welcome to teachers and students from Hong Kong and Taiwan. He also introduced the history, current situation, as well as external exchanges and cooperative programs of CTGU.

Representative of teachers from National Changhua University of Education and student volunteer of CTGU delivered speeches on the opening ceremony respectively, in which ardent expectations and good wishes for the summer camp were expressed.

According to the host, the participators of the summer camp are 22 teachers and students from Chinese University of Hong Kong, National Taiwan Normal University, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Providence University, Yuan Ze University, National Changhua University of Education and so on, . In the coming six days, through learning local culture, visiting the campus sceneries of Yichang, they will know more about the city, the Three Gorges and CTGU. The summer camp will enhance trust and understanding and promote cultural exchange between students of CTGU and students from Taiwan straits, Mainland and Taiwan.
